90000 Square Foot Logistics Center in Singapore by DHL

As the pharmaceutical market is expected to increase in generating more air cargo traffic in the Southeast Asian region, DHL Supply Chain has opened a new logistics center in Singapore to be prepared for an expected increase.

The new 90,000-square-foot Singapore facility is the first of its kind outside Germany with features such as self-driving vehicles & robotics to increase the warehousing footprint by 40 percent. DHL will use 130 robotic shuttles to retrieve and store products.

For the storage and handling of life sciences and healthcare-related shipments, the facility will have clean rooms and some specialized infrastructure for aerospace operations is also expected at the facility.

DHL said – The new facility will be large enough to serve its clients across the ASEAN countries and this Advanced Regional Center will help DHL reduce complexity, & improve accuracy and productivity.
