APPLE Inc. is on an expansion spree and is gradually intensifying its reach in every nook and corner of the globe. It launched its first retail store in Macau that increased the brand’s presence in Greater China escalating the number to 41 stores now.
Apple is indeed one of the most appreciated brands among its patrons. The statement bears out to be factual as hundreds of Apple fans queued at the new store in Cotai district even before the store opened at 10 a.m.
Macau is an incredibly important region for Apple, Denny Tuza, senior Director for Apple Retail Asia Pacific said, “With more than 600,000 residents and 32 million tourists pouring in from across the globe annually, Macau is indeed a rich commercial and industrialized city. The city has a unique hybrid urban culture, representing a peculiar blend of Oriental and Western influences.”
This new two-layer outlet includes sales space where over 150 Apple latest designs are displayed. The customers will be able to get hands-on experience with the new technology as well as with new products at the store.
The Macau store will have a total of 149 employees, mostly hired locally. They will be speaking nine prominent languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Portuguese.
Apple has also initiated free camp for kids’ ages 8 to 12 within the premises to ignite the innate spark of creativity and imagination of these kids. These children will be taught to make movies and create interactive books using their own illustrations and sound effects.
Now that’s some real creative endeavour!
