Estée Lauder acquires Becca Cosmetics

Becca Cosmetics, a potential makeup brand that offers complexion and colour products complimenting a wide range of skin tones and enhancing women’s features, has lately been acquired by The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE:EL).

Estée Lauder has signed an agreement to acquire Becca Cosmetics to speed up the Becca Cosmetics’ brands rollout in Asia and further abroad.

Becca Cosmetics enjoys an engaged consumer base of all ages and milieu. In fact it has a strong social media presence, with more than 1 million Instagram followers. The brand is currently engaged in a strategic global expansion with Sephora across Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East, though the majority of its sales come from North America.

Over the last more than a decade, Becca Cosmetics has witnessed excellent augmentation with a curated product line-up. Its primers, concealers, foundations, blushes and highlighters enhance the complexion by using ‘the beauty of light’ and are celebrated for this feature.

It is worth mentioning here that most of its foundations are available in up to 20 shades, with half designed for light to medium tones and half designed for medium to deep tones.

Estée Lauder is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products, and the brand is sold in more than 150 countries.
