$8 Mn for ecommerce Logistics startup – Xpressbees!

SAIF Partners and Vertex Ventures, the venture arm of Singapore government’s investment fund Temasek injects around $8 Mn to logistics firm – Xpressbees.

Xpressbees (an ecommerce Logistics Company of FirstCry) offers reliable logistics services and solutions & on-time delivery through our extensive network across India.

“Logistics is still a problem that most e-commerce players are struggling with and everyone is trying to build their own fleet. Xpressbees which started as a logistics support provider for FirstCry is now cashing in on the growing investor interest around this space. It has other e-commerce players as its partners including Snapdeal.” said by an official to media.

Other big ecommerce players like Flipkart, Myntra and Amazon also have their own last-mile logistics support. Furniture etailer, FabFurnish, launched its logistics service Fabone, and after spinning off its medical business as 1mg, wellness etailer Healthkart has also built its own distribution network.

In arrears to the delivery and reverse logistics, online players are left with the option to build their own logistics and delivery networks, which has given them an edge for cost optimization as well giving control from order processing to shipment.
