One of the largest and most used social networking websites – Facebook, introduced a variety of new features to facilitate the users and to enhance consumer interaction.
These new features will allow users to order food, request an appointment with a local spa, get a quote, and even book movie tickets with their friends’ recommendations as they travel to a new place.
The service has currently been launched in the US. Wherein, now, a user in the US, can write a Facebook post looking for advice on local places or services. With the added feature the user will have the option to turn on ‘Recommendations’ for a particular post. By turning on this feature, user’s friends will be able to comment on the post with suggestions. This feature will allow the user to see all these suggestions mapped out and saved in one place.
According to Facebook blog post, it was stated that it will be introducing a variety of new features that help the users to discover new things in the world around them, decide what to do or where to go, and connect with local businesses in easier and faster ways. It is also making it possible for people to get tickets to other events – free or paid – directly from the event page on Facebook.
Some local business pages will now have a ‘Get Quote’ button at the top that will let users easily and quickly request a quote from the business.
The features will start to roll out in the US soon.
