Samsung C&T Fashion Group is all set to launch one of its famous brands -Kuho, in the global fashion city New York. Kuho, company’s designer women’s clothing line will enter the US market next spring.
Launched in a staging during New York Fashion Week, the women’s wear brand will be available in stores early next year.
Established by fashion designer Jung Kuho in 1997 the label was acquired by Cheil Industries (now Samsung C&T) in 2003. The brand has grown slowly and significantly and today records more than 100 billion won (US$89.52 million) in yearly sales.
As per company spokesperson the style and lifestyle of Kuho will be a good fit for the US market. KUHO already holds no. 1 position in women’s character zones in major department stores in Korea. The brand also holds the top slot in expansion ratio and efficiency in domestic department stores.
Initiating with New York, KUHO plans to enter major department stores in the US and expand its business to online and offline stores in China, Hong Kong and various parts of Europe.
KUHO is already diversifying its distribution channels with the New York office and making efforts to utilize its subsidiary that already built sales, marketing and distribution networks with local fashion brands for soft landing its global business.
